First Full Day as a Family

FRIDAY
Here are some highlights from our first day as a family. If you are not sure which girl is which the easiest way to tell is the amount of hair. Olivia has hair, Eliana not so much.

We decided to introduce the girls to the family, starting with Eliana. She has already studied up on the St. Pierre cousins and has moved on to Grandma and Grandpa. Aunts and Uncles are on the agenda for tomorrow.
Here we are at the Civil Affairs office to finalize the adoption.

Both girls had there 1st pooh today which was great considering it can often take several days following placement. Of course Olivia decided to wait until we had just put on a fresh diaper before wincing up her face and screaming that pooh out. Both were in fairly good spirits today (Olivia in top photo, Eliana bottom).

For the most part they are eating, sleeping and playing well. They are solid sleepers so far and even when their sister is screaming they don’t wake up. Thankfully, so far they seem to take turns making a fuss which is nice since two fussy babies is not something we are eagerly desiring.
Some twin handling skills.

You guys look like naturals! The girls are sooo beautiful and it looks like you are doing great! We are really enjoying the pics - got the twin handling down pat already, eh! You're good! Hope your days continue to be full of smiles, laughter, safety, good health, and much thanksgiving - we'll pray for all of the above.

Some more great pics of the girls! Keep 'em coming as you have time! Thanks for the clarification- we thought Olivia was the 'moptop' based on the original picture but its nice to know for sure. Andrew, from the last picture it almost looks like you you used your engineering mind to construct a double snuggly! Everyone have a great night of sleep- we're just starting the day as yours comes to an end- nice to know your Saturday was a great one.

Hello!
Kieran thinks that Uncle Andrew shouldn't be asleep if he's looking after Olivia and Eliana - what if they fall when they're sleeping?! He's looking out for them already, if not really understanding the whole picture!
Emmaleen sends big smiles to the girls - she gets excited when she sees their photos. Kieran is also wondering if they need new butterflys?
We're thrilled to see all the photos and stay undated. Hope you all keep doing so well.
Lots of love,
Michaella, Kieran, and Emmaleen
and Matthew (who's at home)

Wow! Andrea gave me the link so I can keep up with you! You two (four) are amazing......such a beautiful family! You have thought of everything to help them adjust, and I am thrilled for all of you. Hope your remaining sleeps are good, and the busyness of caring for your precious "pearls" keeps coming naturally. God Bless! Love, Anna B.

I am excited about seeing the twins! I really want to see all the pictures from China too. We are finished baseball. We won against Oshawa, but lost against Peterboro (not to be confused with Peterborough), and lost against Spring Brook. Oh well. We had fun. See you soon at the airport.

I am really looking forward to seeing the two girls....and you too Aunt Margie and Uncle Andrew. I am praying that Eliana will be well. I had a great birthday. Newsboys and TobyMac were excellent at Kingdom Bound. Kaleb and I got to stay home while Dad and Mom went to Belleville OASA Championships with Gideon and Levi this past weekend. IT WAS GREAT!! Please, if you can, do get a picture of the Great Wall of China. I love you. See you when you get back.

I am amazed. I have 2 new cousins. They are SO cute. I am really looking forward to seeing them. I've never really been with little babies like that before and I think it will be alot of fun. I love you Aunt Margie and Uncle Andrew. See you on the 23rd.

PS/ Good thing girls don't wear Bob-the-Builders.

I am looking so forward to seeing the girls and spending time with them. I love little babies and I was young myself when my other cousins were babies. At Darien Lake last week, Gid and I went on the Superman once again, but Dad didn't this time. (I guess the 208 foot drop and travelling at 73 mph was too much for him. I pray that you four return home safely so I can finally meet my new cousins.
